ALAN BERKLEY

MANAGING DIRECTOR

ALAN BERKLEY

I am a British Forces Veterans having served for several years during the late 80s -90s. I was on active duty during The Yugoslavian War and held posts both on land and at sea.

During the late 90s I left the services and served as a Fire Fighter in Glasgow for number of years, at this time I became involved in acting and my hobby became my passion. I trained as a professional actor in Glasgow and worked in all, aspects of the business from film and television to theatre and radio. I have been the Creative Director for 2 independent theatre companies and have gained valuable experience as both a teacher and director by working along side other professionals within the industry.

During the low point with acting work becoming increasingly difficult to obtain in Scotland, I made the decision to join Strathclyde Police. During this period I started having issue with my mental health which ultimately saw me resign from the force. After some time and through a very much trial and error period of treatment I was diagnosed with Chronic PTSD.
